A FEW SIGNS THERE'S AN ISSUE WITH YOUR BRAKING SYSTEM

SQUEAKING – If you hear squeaking when driving or breaking, then this is a sign of something waring out.

SOFT BRAKE PEDAL – Could be a sign of worn parts, or your brake fluid needs changing

SPONGINESS – Could be a sign that your brake fluid is in need of changing or you have ingress of air in the system.

GRINDING – Normally a sign of worn brake pads, but it could be something else. Get it checked out as soon as possible.

PULSATING – Quite often, the sign of a warped disk, this can result in increased braking distances and an unsteady vehicle.

CAR PULLING ONE SIDE WHEN BRAKING – There are numerous reasons for this problem, but you should get advice quickly as it will also reduce the life expectancy of your tyres.

HIGH HANDBRAKE – This could be due to a stretched cable that needs adjusting or replacing.
BRAKE WARNING LIGHT ON – Normally due to ware but could also be highlighting another problem with the vehicles braking system.

If you experience any of the warnings above, don’t delay getting in touch for your FREE brake inspection. Bring your car in, and one of our friendly and qualified mechanics will soon identify and fix the issue, getting you back on the road safely.

Most manufacturers advise a brake fluid change every two years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first. Wrexham Service Centre brake fluid change service is designed to get you back on the road quickly and safely.

EXHAUSTS

Does your car sound like a dragster but going at the pace of a milk-kart? Do you hear strange rattlings? Has your vehicle failed the emissions test keeping you off the road? It’s time to take a look at your exhaust.

We supply only the highest-quality exhausts to make sure your new exhaust matches the vehicle’s original specification. All our exhausts come with a guarantee.

If you need an exhaust replacement or repair, we will give you a free no-obligation quote before any work is carried out. Call 01978 265660 to speak with us.

BATTERIES

There is nothing worse than jumping into your car, turning the key and at best hear a clunk or, at worst, nothing! and then uttering the words, ‘it’s the battery.’ Oh yes, your car battery is a crucial component of your car. Apart from starting your car, it provides power for many other feature comforts in your vehicle, such as the radio, internal and external lights and air conditioning, for a few.

As a rule of thumb, your battery should last, on average, about four years. Of course, this can be compromised by a long spell of extremely cold weather, or leaving the lights on by accident can see your battery go flat.

One of our mechanics will select the correct battery for your car/vehicle and fit it. Getting you back on the road and able to start your car without any issues in no time. Call us on 01978 265660 for a free quote on the supply, fit of your new battery and disposal of your old battery. Car batteries contain a lot of harmful ingredients that need to be disposed of correctly. The good news is we do all this for you. Wrexham Service Centre are very environmentally aware.
